Our friends at Fifth Gear shared this Infographic with us that details the stats behind e-commerce shopping cart abandonment, and ways to improve your guest checkout process.
Personally, the main reason I typically quit an order before checkout is because the shipping and handling costs are too high. This recently happened when I tried to purchase a deeply discounted pair of shoes at an online store — Shoes = $9.99 but the Shipping = $12.99. I decided it was not worth the effort/money, and I won’t be back to the website.
What do you think? Do you personally shop online? And if so, what are the main reasons behind your either completing your order, or abandoning the process? Give me your thoughts in the comments below!
